The landscape, though harsh to look at, is beautiful. The Black Ridges are a series of mountains that no man has ever placed foot in. There are several rival wolf packs that roam these lands, but the dominant pack--the one that owns the land--is the Illuminati. Headed by what many wolves see as a young upstart named Fenrir, they are a large and powerful pack. But dissent stirs within the ranks. Many of Fenrir's own wolves feel that he does not deserve to be Alpha, feeling that he is too dark in nature for a 'light' pack... Will they betray him and try to take over? Or will they swallow their pride and toe the line?
Fenrir and the others aren't normal wolves though. For more details on what they are, what they share the landscape with, and who all is available to play, please see the thread 'Current Plotline' in "Plots","Plot Characters" in "Character Applications", and "Game and Species Info" in "Administration".

11-21-07- New coding and layout done. Two new skins have been added--"Blood Red Sunset" and "Black Forest". Staff positions filled, save for one co-admin and any mods. Black Ridges-Lower Mountain Range (6 sub-boards) The lower ranges of the Black Ridges. Contrary to the name, they are actually located to the northwest. The Black Mountain is located here. Abundant game, but only a few small and medium caves. Streams run throughout. Illumminati territory. Moderator: Fenrir

Black Ridges-Upper Mountain Range (3 sub-boards) Black Ridges Mountains--the upper portion of the range. Located to the southeast Black Mountain. It contains the Weeping Mother. Smaller than the Weeping Mother , none of the other mountains seem to stand out. Some game, and multiple streams and small caves located here. Moderator: Fenrir

IC Area--Monsoon and Sawtooth Valleys
Monsoon Valley (1 sub-board) The valley never seems to be dry. It rains most every day for hours at a time. Soggy and wet, the land can open up and swallow large and heavier animals without warning. Part of the valley is a swamp. Other parts, though drier, are no less treacherous, with poisonous snakes, bugs, and odd looking animals. Moderator: Fenrir

Sawtooth Valley (1 sub-board) This valley is large, with vegetation and all manner of game available. A lake spans a third of the valley floor. Though it once had a name, it has long been forgotten and is now referred to only as 'the lake'. Moderator: Fenrir

IC Area--No Man's Land
+ Dread Gathering + (7 sub-boards) Situated in the northern regions the Dread Gathering roam the piece of land they've claimed with sheer force of might. each corner, nook and cranny that exists here, was chosen and is, in a sense, a reflection of who rules these lands. with unchallenged might, the Alphas, the Sons of Chaos, roam the land they've taken, its forests and its groves nothing but dying wood. a deadness exists, a heavy malignant feeling that seems to possess a living quality, almost as if a presence haunts these lands. because of its position, the temperature is often cold, and during specific points of the year, the sun often does not rise for several days, casting the world in oblivion. the cold is sharp and deadly, as deadly as the glowing gold-green eyes of the two Alphas who stalk the borders. the food here is scarce but not nonexistent, though food, as are many things, is of a different variety. enter only at your own risk, the Sons of Chaos only know harsh Judgment. Poisoned Shadows (5 sub-boards) Poisoned Shadows, a pack ruled by a psychotic leader by the calling of Poison, who often leaves his pack area and into other areas in order to escape whatever he does. What that might be, only Poison knows. Every so often, when Poison does return, he brings back new wolves foolishly willing to join the ranks of the Damned pack. The twisted lore of Poisoned Shadows from so long ago travels on the eerie purple fog that emits itself from the pack area. Many tales of woe and horror include themselves in the pack's history, so for whatever reason these foolish wolves decide to stay, they must expect the worst. The Forsaken. The Forsaken pack is not as dark as it sounds, the alphess, Fallen, is mostly kindhearted and patient, which reflects this packs presonality.
